A New Operator-Neutral Digital Platform
Banglalink Unveils ‘Mukt’ for All Users
- ‘Mukt’ transforms Banglalink’s existing MyBL self-service app
- Customers of any mobile operator can access the platform
- AI-powered personalisation will recommend services based on user preferences
Banglalink is introducing a new digital platform called ‘Mukt’, bringing telecommunications, entertainment and a range of everyday services together in one place, beyond the boundaries of individual mobile operators. Developed by transforming the company’s existing self-service app MyBL, the platform will be accessible to customers of any mobile operator in Bangladesh. Users will be able to log in through social media accounts, any Bangladeshi mobile number or a mobile number from any country worldwide.
Banglalink describes Mukt as Bangladesh’s first telco-agnostic digital platform. It will allow users to access various services through a single account from anywhere in the world. The platform will offer entertainment options, including music and audio stories, Islamic guidance, the latest news and sports content, alongside telecommunications services and facilities addressing everyday needs.
The app will also feature artificial intelligence (AI)-powered personalisation, recommending products and services based on users’ interests and preferences. In addition to managing services for their own mobile numbers, users will be able to manage services for the numbers of family members and loved ones.
Kazi Mahbub Hasan, Chief Marketing Officer of Banglalink, said the company is focusing not only on customers’ telecommunications needs but also on understanding their wider everyday requirements.
“Putting customers first means recognising that they have diverse needs beyond connectivity. People do not confine their digital lives to the services of a particular mobile operator. They want technology that naturally integrates into their everyday lives, making them easier, more convenient and better suited to their personal preferences. Through Mukt, we want to bring these services together in one place so that everyone can use them,” he said.
The launch of Mukt also marks a shift in Banglalink’s digital services strategy. While the company previously focused primarily on developing digital services for its own subscribers, it now aims to make a broader range of services available to customers of all mobile operators.
Through Mukt, Banglalink aims to make digital services more accessible and relevant to everyday life as it continues its journey as a customer-centric, digitally driven company.
