Tech brand Honor has announced that its flagship Magic series will receive seven years of Android OS and security updates. Initially, this extended support will be available to users in Europe (EU), followed by an eventual rollout to Bangladeshi users, according to Honor Bangladesh.
The company stated that this extended security update aligns with sustainable development standards by enhancing device longevity and reducing e-waste. Additionally, users will be able to enjoy a secure smartphone experience for an extended period while leveraging cutting-edge AI-powered features.
The extended support is part of the Honor Alpha Plan, designed to help flagship device users access the latest AI innovations while ensuring long-term security.

As part of this strategy, we have decided to offer seven years of Android OS and security updates for the Magic series, which includes our flagship bar phones and foldable devices. The IFA 2024 award-winning device brings innovative features that promise to enhance the smartphone experience for users in Bangladesh. The company confirmed that Magic V3 users will also receive the extended security updates soon.
