Foxconn’s AI Boom Drives Record Revenue Growth
Driven by unprecedented demand for artificial intelligence (AI) technology, Foxconn, the world’s largest contract electronics manufacturer, achieved significant revenue growth in the third quarter of the current year.
According to data released by the Taiwan-based technology giant, its revenue in the July–September quarter rose 47 percent year-on-year to NT$3.03 trillion (about US$95.4 billion).
The remarkable performance, which surpassed all market analysts’ forecasts, was primarily fueled by soaring demand for AI servers and related infrastructure equipment.
Record Monthly Revenue and iPhone Sales
According to international news agency Reuters, Foxconn’s revenue in September alone increased 38 percent year-on-year to NT$1.16 trillion. It was the first time in the company’s history that its monthly revenue exceeded NT$1 trillion.
Strong sales of cloud and networking products, coupled with robust demand for consumer electronics—including Apple’s new iPhone—played a major role in achieving this historic milestone.
Growth Outlook and Global Economic Uncertainty
Although the company’s official name is Hon Hai Precision Industry, it is better known worldwide as Foxconn. The company expects strong demand for AI-related products to continue into the fourth quarter of the year.
As the second half of the year typically marks the peak shopping season for electronics, Foxconn expects overall fourth-quarter performance to remain in line with its expectations.
Despite the positive outlook, however, Foxconn cautioned that geopolitical instability and fluctuations in the global economy will need to be closely monitored.
The company is scheduled to release its final and comprehensive financial report on November 12.
