Shombhob Technologies Limited’s employment platform Shombhob Jobs and Alpha Star Foundation have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand employment, career development and technology-focused skills opportunities for young people.
The MoU was signed on October 5, Monday, in Baridhara, Dhaka. Under the partnership, the two organisations will collaborate on employment and internship opportunities, career development, skills training, workshops, seminars, professional networking and other youth development initiatives.
Under the agreement, Shombhob Jobs will support relevant job and internship opportunities for qualified candidates from Alpha Star Foundation. It will also assist in identifying and referring suitable candidates when required.
Alpha Star Foundation, in turn, will use its youth and community network to inform members about training, skills development and self-improvement opportunities available through Shombhob Jobs. It will also take initiatives to ensure that these opportunities reach young people effectively.
Technology and employability skills
The two organisations will jointly undertake career readiness, employability training and skills development programmes under the partnership.
Potential training areas include artificial intelligence, graphic design, sales, communication, digital skills and workplace readiness. The initiatives are intended to help young people develop practical capabilities aligned with the changing demands of the technology-driven job market.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Sagar Khanali of Shombhob Jobs said academic qualifications alone are not enough to secure employment for young people.
He said relevant skills, practical workplace preparation and access to the right professional networks are also necessary. He added that sustainable youth employment requires not only creating job opportunities but also strengthening skills, career readiness and connections with appropriate employment and professional networks.
Khanali said the partnership with Alpha Star Foundation would play an important role in creating an integrated set of opportunities for young people.
Kamrul Hasan, Chairman of Alpha Star Foundation, said effective partnerships are essential to expanding skills development and employment opportunities for young people.
He said the collaboration with Shombhob Jobs’ employment and career development platform would create new opportunities for young people to gain practical skills and build their future careers.
Joint programmes
The MoU also provides scope for the two organisations to jointly organise seminars, workshops, career sessions, awareness campaigns, youth development programmes and networking activities.
They will also explore opportunities to work together on various national and international projects and development initiatives.
