A tree plantation campaign was officially inaugurated at the permanent campus of the University of Frontier Technology, Bangladesh (UFTB). On Sunday (04 October 2026) at 2:30 PM, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Md. Moktar Ali, inaugurated the event by planting saplings on the campus grounds.

Speaking at the inauguration, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Moktar Ali emphasized the critical role of afforestation in maintaining ecological balance, mitigating climate change, and ensuring a liveable environment for future generations. He reaffirmed UFTB's commitment to developing its permanent campus into a green, aesthetically pleasing, and environmentally sustainable institution alongside its focus on modern technology-driven education.

The Vice-Chancellor highlighted that UFTB's initiative actively aligns with the current government's nationwide goal to plant 250 million tree saplings over the next five years. Faculty members, students, officers, and staff participated in planting various species of fruit-bearing, timber, and medicinal saplings. UFTB plans to continue its campus greening initiatives regularly to foster environmental responsibility among students.
