Multimedia Training for Cumilla Journalists
- Journalists receive technology-focused training in advanced multimedia journalism
- More than 50 journalists from Cumilla participate in the workshop

The Academy for Press and Media Development (APMD) has provided advanced multimedia journalism training to journalists working in Cumilla. The training workshop was organised to enhance journalists’ technical skills in digital news presentation and multimedia content production.
The day-long training workshop was held at the auditorium of Cumilla Ideal College on Friday, 25 September 2026.
Additional Secretary Md. Masud Rana Chowdhury attended the programme as the chief guest. The training was conducted by Md. Fakhrul Islam, Head of Multimedia at the Daily Ittefaq.
The opening session was chaired by APMD President Mohiuddin Molla. APMD advisers and journalists Khairul Ahsan Manik, Mobarak Hossain, Abu Musa and Habibur Rahman Chowdhury also addressed the session.
The closing session was moderated by APMD adviser Khaled Saifullah. Speakers included Cumilla Ideal College Principal Mohiuddin Liton, Shamin Ahmed, a teacher at the Department of Law of Bangladesh Army International University of Science and Technology, and Rafiqul Islam Sohel of ‘Alokito Bajrapur Cumilla’.
APMD General Secretary Zahid Patwari expressed thanks and gratitude at the conclusion of the programme.
More than 50 journalists from Cumilla district and different upazilas participated in the training workshop. Certificates were distributed among the participants after completion of the training.
