To strengthen artificial intelligence (AI) knowledge and practical skills in higher education, Chittagong Independent University (CIU) organized ‘AI Navigator 2026’, a technology-focused learning initiative jointly hosted by the university's Artificial Intelligence Center (CIUAIC) and Send a Little Hope.
According to a university press release, the program featured certificate distribution for students, exhibitions of innovative AI-based projects, and the launch of ‘AI Confident’, a new faculty development program designed to enhance AI competencies among teachers.
The event also included interactive learning sessions, hands-on AI workshops, and a special knowledge-sharing session titled “Navigating the AI Future.” Participants explored AI literacy, prompt engineering, the use of modern AI tools, real-world AI applications, and the evolving AI-driven job market.
Speakers emphasized the importance of equipping students and faculty with practical AI skills to support education, research, assessment, and innovation. They also called for continuing similar initiatives to develop globally competitive, AI-ready human resources.
The program was coordinated by Associate Professor Dr. Md. Sajjatul Islam, Director of the CIU AI Center and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE).
Among those present were Engineer Mujahidul Islam, CEO of AI for All and Send a Little Hope; Asif Amin, Program Director of AI for All and Senior Engineer at Snap-on; Alif Mehrab, Advisor to AI for All and Founder and Director of Marketing B, along with members of the partner organizations.
