The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) has been selected for the "2026 World Friends Korea (WFK) IT Online Training Program." Under this initiative, a student team from South Korea's premier institute KAIST will conduct intensive online ICT training for UITS students.
The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) has been officially selected for the prestigious international initiative, "2026 World Friends Korea (WFK) IT Online Training Program." Supported by the National Information Society Agency (NIA) of Korea, this achievement expands international cooperation for UITS and ensures world-class IT education opportunities for its students.
Under this program, a talented student team from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in Daejeon—one of Korea's leading education and research institutions—will conduct intensive online ICT training for UITS students from July 13 to August 3, 2026. The training will provide hands-on education in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Python programming, Vibe Coding, modern AI-assisted software development, and other advanced digital technologies.
Specially designed for final-year students, this program places significant emphasis on practical project development alongside theoretical knowledge. Following the three-week training, students will participate in a team-based innovative project competition. The submitted projects will be jointly evaluated by experts from both KAIST and UITS, and the top three teams will be rewarded.
According to university authorities, this international collaboration will play a crucial role in enabling students to acquire world-class technological knowledge, innovative skills, and competitive capabilities in the global workplace. Concurrently, it will open new horizons for the internationalization of the university, boosting research and the standard of technology-driven higher education.
UITS expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the World Friends Korea Program, the National Information Society Agency, and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology for providing this valuable opportunity. Through this initiative, students will not only acquire international-standard technical expertise but also further develop their capabilities in innovation, research, and global collaboration.
