13 Nationalist ICT Forum Leaders Expelled Over Disciplinary Breaches
The Nationalist ICT Forum (NICTF) has expelled 13 executive members, including its General Secretary and Advisors, for activities violating organizational discipline and policy. The unanimous decision was made during an emergency meeting held on Tuesday, June 30, following allegations of espionage and misconduct.
The Nationalist ICT Forum (NICTF) has expelled 13 of its executive members on charges of engaging in activities that violate organizational discipline and policies. The announcement was made in a press release signed by the forum's Acting General Secretary, Mamun Or Rashid, on Tuesday, June 30.
The 13 individuals face allegations of committing acts contrary to mutual harmony, showing discourteous behavior towards senior leaders, and abusing their organizational titles and identities for unwanted and anti-organizational activities. Furthermore, the forum stated that evidence of espionage was found against some of the expelled members.
According to the press release, an emergency meeting of the Nationalist ICT Forum was held on June 30, where the present members unanimously voted to expel these 13 individuals.
The expelled members are— Professor Shah J Miah (Advisor), Abbas Faruq (Advisor), Rowshan Kamal James (General Secretary), Samiul Islam (Vice President), Rokonuzzaman Rony (Joint General Secretary), Engineer Mo. Jewel (Office Secretary), Nauwid Hossain (Finance Secretary), Shamim Azad (Cultural Secretary), Tapit Hasan Chowdhury (Training Secretary), Mo. Al-Mamun (Social Welfare Secretary), Saimum Reza Talukder (Legal Secretary), Reyad Hasnain (Member), and Maksud Hossain (Member).
The press release highlighted that to maintain the greater interest, discipline, and a proper working environment within the organization, this expulsion decision will come into effect immediately.
