Workshop focuses on building entrepreneurial skills among business students
JUST Launches Five-Day Entrepreneurship Development Training for Students
Jashore University of Science and Technology has launched a five-day Entrepreneurship Development Training programme aimed at preparing students to become future entrepreneurs and job creators.
Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) has launched a five-day special workshop titled “Entrepreneurship Development Training” to help students develop entrepreneurial capabilities and strengthen practical business skills.
The workshop was inaugurated on Saturday (20 June) at the gallery of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology in the Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose Academic Building.
The programme is being organised by the Training Institute of Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) under the Ministry of Industries, with support from the Faculty of Business Studies at JUST.
A total of 28 students from four departments under the Faculty of Business Studies are participating in the training.
Speaking as the chief guest, Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Imran Khan said the university’s long-term vision is to develop graduates who create employment opportunities rather than only seeking jobs.
He said entrepreneurial success requires mindset, resilience and the ability to respond to challenges, and such training programmes play an important role in preparing students for that journey.
The inaugural session was chaired by Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies Dr. Mohammad Kamal Hossain.
Among others, Assistant Professor Dr. Fatema Sultana from the Department of Management, Assistant Professor Ruhul Quddus from the Department of Finance and Banking, and Course Director Md. Tanjim Hossain addressed the programme.
The session was moderated by Course Director Miftahul Jannat Ripa.
