Nagad Launches Double Bonus Drive for Remittance Receivers
To encourage expatriates to send remittances through legal channels, Nagad has announced a special campaign offering additional cash bonuses for remittance recipients through the international money transfer service TapTap Send until May 31.
Under the campaign titled “Double Happiness in Remittance,” customers receiving remittances into their Nagad accounts will receive the government’s existing 2.5 percent incentive along with an additional cash bonus of up to Tk 300 from Nagad.
Customers receiving at least Tk 10,000 in a single remittance transaction will qualify for an extra 1.25 percent bonus under the offer. However, each customer will be eligible to receive a maximum total bonus of Tk 300 throughout the entire campaign period.
To avail of the offer, customers must have an active Nagad account with a fully completed profile.
In addition, under the “Har Na Mana Har” campaign, customers sending at least Tk 10,000 in remittances through Nagad will also have the opportunity to win a gold necklace.
According to Nagad, Bannya Khatun and Raima Tabassum Rasha from Faridpur have already won the prize under the campaign.
Md. Ehsanul Haque Bashar, Head of Remittance at Nagad, said the company is working to ensure expatriates can send money home quickly, safely, and conveniently. He added that the initiative would make remittance transfers easier for overseas Bangladeshis.
