Leading drone and camera technology company DJI has unveiled the first look, or teaser, of its new product ‘Osmo Pocket 4P’ gimbal. This pocket-sized camera introduces a dual-camera system for the first time, which is expected to add a new dimension to mobile cinematography. The company announced in a teaser message on Friday that the product will be launched in 2026.

Dual Camera and Powerful Sensors
According to the released teaser, the new Osmo Pocket 4P will feature two separate cameras. One will include a 1-inch sensor with a wide lens, while the other will have a 3x zoom lens. This dual system has been introduced to provide professional video creators with enhanced flexibility for both landscape and portrait shooting.

Advanced Features and Performance
Although full specifications have not yet been disclosed, technology analysts suggest that the device may include:

  • Video Quality: Capability to record video at up to 240 fps in 4K resolution
  • Dynamic Range: 14-stop dynamic range and 10-bit D-Log color support
  • Storage: 128GB built-in storage
  • Other Features: Hasselblad tuning, a 3-axis mechanical gimbal, and advanced ActiveTrack stabilization. Like previous models, it is also expected to feature a flip-out touchscreen display.

Legal Complications in the United States
The announcement of the new gimbal comes at a time when DJI is facing regulatory challenges in the United States. In February, the Federal Communications Commission included DJI on its restricted list. The company has appealed the decision, and May 11 has been set as the deadline for submitting opinions to the FCC. Due to these legal complexities, there is uncertainty over whether the new gimbal will be available in the U.S. market.

Price and Availability
No official announcement has yet been made regarding the price of the Osmo Pocket 4P. However, given its advanced features, it is expected to be significantly more expensive than the standard Osmo Pocket 4. DJI is positioning this premium device primarily for advanced video creators and content producers.
