Software Systems Surge: New Architecture Lab Launched at UFTB
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mohammad Abu Yusuf has expressed optimism that the “Software Architecture and System Design Lab,” established under the Department of Software Engineering at University of Frontier Technology Bangladesh, will play a significant role in strengthening hands-on education and research-oriented activities to build a technology-driven Bangladesh.
The state-of-the-art lab was inaugurated on Wednesday (May 6) at Academic Building-2 of the university through a ribbon-cutting and plaque unveiling ceremony.
Speaking as the chief guest, the Vice-Chancellor said that modern facilities will inspire students toward innovation. He noted that students will now be able to learn complex aspects of advanced software design and system architecture through practical, hands-on experience, which will help them remain competitive in the global arena.
Treasurer Dr. Md. Anowar Hossain attended the event as a special guest. The program, chaired by Acting Chairman of the Software Engineering Department Md. Mahmudul Hasan, also featured remarks by Md. Mashiur Rahman. The session was moderated by Md. Ahsan Habib.
Speakers expressed gratitude to those involved in establishing the lab, noting that it will open new horizons in education and research.
The event began with a recitation from holy scriptures and the national anthem. It concluded with a doa mahfil and cake-cutting ceremony. Teachers, officials, and students from various departments were present at the event.
