Xiaomi, widely known as a smartphone manufacturer, has quickly made a significant mark in the electric vehicle (EV) market. By the end of 2025, the company reported delivering over 400,000 EVs—a remarkable achievement just a year after launching its first model in 2024, according to EV Arena.

The surge in December played a major role in this milestone, with more than 50,000 vehicles delivered that month alone. By November, total deliveries had reached 361,625, exceeding the company’s targets thanks to strong end-of-year momentum.

Xiaomi’s first model, the SE7 sedan, debuted in March 2024, followed by the launch of the YU7 SUV in June 2025. The YU7 quickly gained popularity as a competitor to Tesla’s Model Y, with over 150,000 units delivered within just six months.

Looking ahead, Xiaomi plans to launch two new ERV models in 2026, along with an updated SE7 version. Currently selling only in China, the company is preparing to enter the European market by 2027.
