BASIS Board Begins Membership Process Boost

The newly formed sub-committee of the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), constituted following the appointment of the new administrator, has held its first meeting aimed at reactivating the process for approving new membership applications in the country’s software and IT sector trade body.

The meeting was held on Tuesday, 11 November, at the BASIS office, chaired by the Sub-Committee In-Charge, Md. Rowshan Kamal James, Chief Executive of TechSol Technologies Bangladesh Ltd. The discussion focused on evaluating new membership applications through proper verification within a short timeframe, reviewing applications relating to membership cancellation and reactivation, adherence to the required policies, and enhancing the overall dynamism of membership services.

The meeting also emphasized strengthening transparency in the membership process, accurate information verification, and improving documentation procedures.

Representing the BASIS Secretariat, Chowdhury Fatima Rokon Tuli, Mehedi Hasan, Abdullah Al Kaysar Khan (Munna), and S. M. Zakaria Islam (Arnob) attended the session. On the sub-committee side, the attendees were Md. Jewel from Lemise Limited, A. H. M. Rokmunur Zaman Rony from HR Soft BD, Ferdous Alam from Etova Technology, and Muhammad Abdul Majid from Bangla Puzzle Limited.
