CUET–Venturas Venture to Broaden Global Career Visions
Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Venturas Limited on Tuesday, 11 November, to expand global employment opportunities for its students, particularly those in the Departments of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), and Civil Engineering. On the same day, the university’s Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized a seminar titled “Proposal Writing for Higher Education Acceleration and Transformation (HEAT) Project-1.”
The MoU was signed in the Syndicate Room of the university, in the presence of CUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiya. On behalf of CUET, the agreement was signed by Registrar (Additional Charge) Professor Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Humayun Kabir. Venturas Limited was represented by its Founder and CEO, Yoriko Ueda.
Under this agreement, Venturas Limited will assist in creating job opportunities for CUET graduates in Japan, provide training on the Japanese language and culture, and conduct various activities that support the career development of students.
Among those present on behalf of CUET were the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Professor Dr. Kazi Delwar Hossain; Head of the CSE Department, Professor Dr. Pronab Kumar Dhar; and Head of the EEE Department, Professor Dr. Tofayel Ahmed. Representing Venturas Limited, Senior Executive (HR) Md. Redoanul Islam Rahat attended the signing ceremony.
Seminar on Proposal Writing for HEAT Project-1 Held at CUET
In the afternoon, the seminar titled “Proposal Writing for Higher Education Acceleration and Transformation (HEAT) Project-1” was held in the Academic Council Room of CUET. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiya, attended as the chief guest.
Keynote presentations were delivered by Professor Dr. Sajal Chandra Banik, Director of the Research and Extension Office and faculty of the Mechanical Engineering Department; Professor Dr. Mohammad Mizanur Rahman of the Mechanical Engineering Department; and Associate Professor Dr. Shafayat Bin Ali of the Department of Disaster Management and Engineering.
The seminar was presided over by Professor Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman Bhuiya, Director of IQAC. The welcome address was delivered by Professor Dr. Md. Sanaul Rabbani, Additional Director of IQAC. The session was conducted by Section Officer Md. Imran Hossain of IQAC.
