BDREN–CSE Collaboration to Cultivate Cutting-Edge Competence at JUST
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) and the Bangladesh Research and Education Network (BDREN) to enhance students’ networking knowledge, technological skills, and overall learning quality. The agreement aims to provide access to technology-enabled advanced computer laboratory facilities, exposure to emerging technologies, and structured internship opportunities for CSE students.
The MoU was signed on Tuesday at 2:00 PM in the conference room of the JUST administrative building, in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid. Professor Dr. Hossain Al Mamun, Treasurer of JUST, and Mohammad Tawrit, Chief Executive Officer of BDREN, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions.
Through this collaboration, CSE students will be able to connect directly with BDREN and gain access to advanced technological training. BDREN will offer laboratory facilities, hands-on training on new and improved technologies, modern technology workshops, and internship opportunities. Students will be able to enhance their capabilities in computer system operations, server and device connectivity, maintenance, and troubleshooting, allowing them to practically apply these skills in both personal and professional environments.
The partnership is designed to facilitate knowledge and technology exchange, enabling students to develop as competent and quality-driven professionals capable of delivering modern, technology-based services.
Also present at the signing ceremony were the principal coordinator of the MoU and Chairman of the CSE Department, Dr. Md. Kamrul Islam, along with other faculty members of the department and officials from various BDREN units associated with the collaboration.
