Xiaomi’s EV Expansion: Record Deliveries Drive Demand

Xiaomi has once again stunned China’s electric vehicle market. In August, the company delivered more than 30,000 electric cars, marking the same record for the second consecutive month. The surge in sales comes largely due to the overwhelming popularity of Xiaomi’s first electric SUV, the SU7, reports GSM Arena.
The SU7 model was launched on June 26, offering a range of 760 to 835 kilometers on a single charge. Its price has been set between 253,500 and 329,900 yuan. Owing to massive demand, customers are now facing a waiting period of up to 56 weeks.
To meet the growing demand, Xiaomi has initiated new factory projects and recruitment programs to boost production capacity. The company has set ambitious targets—350,000 electric car sales in 2025 and over 800,000 by 2027.
