Grameenphone and Chorki Collaborate to Enable Subscription via Mobile Balance
Grameenphone subscribers can now purchase Chorki premium subscriptions using their mobile balance, making access to digital content more convenient and affordable. The announcement came on Tuesday as the telecom operator confirmed that a memorandum of understanding has been signed between the two companies to support this initiative.
According to a press release, the signing ceremony took place on May 5 at Chorki’s headquarters in Dhaka. Representing Grameenphone were Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Yasir Azman, Chief Product Officer (CPO) Solaiman Alam, Head of Digital Platform, Payment & Partnership Zahiduz Zaman, and other senior officials.
From Prothom Alo, the parent company of Chorki, attendees included Editor Matiur Rahman, Executive Editor Sajjad Sharif, Managing Editor Anisul Hoque, Deputy Head of Finance Ankur Saha, and Chief Digital Business Officer Javed Sultan Pias. Representing Chorki were CEO Redwan Rony and Marketing and Growth Lead Faisal Rahman.
Speaking at the event, Grameenphone CEO Yasir Azman said, “We are continuously working to simplify our customers’ digital lifestyle. Entertainment is a key part of that experience. Through this partnership with Chorki, our subscribers can now conveniently enjoy premium local content using just their mobile balance.”
