bKash and Beyond: Huawei Honored with Partner Excellence Award
Huawei has been awarded the 'Partner Excellence Award' for the fifth time in recognition of its contribution to promoting sustainable economic development and building a cashless society in Bangladesh. The award was presented to Zhou Shaofeng (Tim), Vice President of Carrier Network Business Group, South Asia Region, and Du Kongkong, Account Director of Huawei, by Moinuddin Mohammad Rahgir, Chief Financial Officer of bKash, and Mohammad Rashedul Alam, EVP and Head of Supply Chain and Procurement at bKash.
The information was shared in a press release on Monday.
Since 2017, Huawei and bKash have been working together through strategic technological collaboration. Currently, Huawei provides not only hardware and software solutions but also technical assistance. Under this collaboration, Huawei has delivered various financial services, including mobile money solutions. For the past few years, bKash has been presenting the 'Partner Excellence Award' to acknowledge the contributions of its collaborators to its journey. This award serves as a recognition of the professionalism Huawei demonstrated while working with bKash over the past year.
Moinuddin Mohammad Rahgir, Chief Financial Officer of bKash, stated, "Since its inception, bKash’s core objective has been to ensure inclusive financial services. In 2023, the two organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to accelerate financial inclusion and bring more people under the umbrella of the digital economy, further strengthening the collaboration between bKash and Huawei.
