Teletalk Announces 10% Price Reduction on Most Packages for Eid
State-owned mobile network operator Teletalk Bangladesh Limited has announced a 10% price reduction on most of its packages in celebration of Eid.
The announcement was made on Friday by the Department of Posts and Telecommunications. The decision follows a recent move by Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL), another state-run telecom entity, which reduced its bandwidth rental prices by 10%. To ensure that this benefit reaches consumers, the new reduced data tariffs will take effect on Eid day.
Teletalk expects that the price reduction will lead to a significant increase in mobile data subscribers.
Meanwhile, to expand telecommunications services to remote and rural communities, the operator has extended its network coverage to haor and island regions. Additionally, efforts are underway to enhance 4G expansion and facilitate the introduction of 5G technology, which is expected to further advance Bangladesh’s digital infrastructure.
