Hajj pilgrims will get their pre-registration cancellation money back thru’ e-Hajj app
Now Hajj pilgrims can get pre-registration refund money at home using e-Hajj BD app. No need to go to Hajj Registration Center for pre-registration cancellation. As a result, it used to take four working days, but now it will come down to 1-2 days.
To this end, Minister of Religion Md. Faridul Haque Khan inaugurated the pre-registration refund service of Hajj pilgrims through the official e-Hajj BD mobile app at the conference room of the Ministry of Religious Affairs on Sunday afternoon. At the time, the Minister of Religion said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's purpose of forming Digital Bangladesh was to deliver services to the people's doorsteps. We have already digitized Hajj management activities. Smart pre-registration refund of Hajj pilgrims through government channels has been added to this process. This service will save pilgrims time, money and travel.
He said that the pre-registration refund process of pilgrims has been made smart under the innovation and service facilitation program of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in the fiscal year 2023-24. A pre-registered pilgrim can apply for cancellation of his/her registration through the government using the specified app. If the refund application is submitted, it will automatically reach the office of the director of Dhaka Hajj Office. After the approval of the director of this office and the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the refund money will be credited to the applicant's bank. Earlier it took 4 working days to get the refund, now it will be possible in 1/2 working days.
