Short-form mobile video platform TikTok has released its Community Guidelines Enforcement Report for the second quarter of 2026 (April–June), outlining its algorithmic enforcement, content mitigation measures, and automated safety metrics across global and regional markets.
According to the disclosures, TikTok removed 14,791,485 videos in Bangladesh during the April–June period for infringing community safety standards, representing roughly 0.9 percent of all video submissions within the territory. Emphasizing preventative automation, the platform's proprietary systems detected and purged 99.8 percent of these violations proactively prior to any external user flag. A critical 92.7 percent of the flagged regional pool was taken down within 24 hours of transmission. Following manual appeals and secondary moderation audits, 205,001 videos were restored.
Globally, the platform took down 188,298,141 videos across the three-month window, constituting approximately 0.5 percent of gross international video uploads. Out of these, automated engines intercepted and purged 183,344,707 videos. The global proactive detection metric stood at 99.5 percent, with 92.7 percent excised inside the standard 24-hour operational threshold. Post-review procedures culminated in the restoration of 6,262,383 previously blocked global uploads.
Complementing visual media screening, TikTok advanced its AI-driven textual filtering to counter abusive interactions. The platform removed 278,384,463 inappropriate comments globally during Q2 2026, marking an increase over the 237,517,128 comments moderated in the preceding first quarter.
Addressing identity fraud and youth protection benchmarks, TikTok systematically removed 146,807,400 fraudulent and spam accounts worldwide. Furthermore, to insulate minors from inappropriate exposure, 26,840,767 accounts suspected of belonging to individuals under 13 years of age were terminated.
A breakdown of policy categories reveals that 19.5 percent of removed content involved sensitive or mature adult material, 13.8 percent breached civility and integrity guidelines, 13.7 percent contravened baseline safety rules, and 13.5 percent depicted hazardous physical activities. Additionally, non-compliant Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC) represented 1.8 percent of aggregate content expulsions, official sources confirmed.
