UFTB Hosts World Teachers’ Day Discussion

Teachers’ innovation, dedication and collaboration are essential to improving education quality and developing students’ skills and values in response to the demands of a rapidly changing world, said Professor Dr Md Moktar Ali, Vice Chancellor of the University of Frontier Technology, Bangladesh (UFTB). He made the remarks at a discussion organised at the university to mark World Teachers’ Day.

The discussion was held on Monday afternoon, October 5, 2026, at the meeting room of the university’s administrative building in Kaliakair, Gazipur. Professor Dr Md Moktar Ali attended the programme as the chief guest. Teachers from different departments of the university were also present.

In his speech, Professor Dr Md Moktar Ali said teachers play an important role not only in sharing knowledge but also in developing students as thoughtful, humane and responsible citizens.

He said dedication, innovative thinking and mutual cooperation among teachers are essential to improving education quality and developing students’ skills and values in line with the changing demands of the world.

He further said effective communication and a collaborative environment among teachers, students and the university administration can make the path toward improving education quality easier. He added that the World Teachers’ Day programme would help recognise teachers’ contributions and inspire collective efforts to advance education and research.

The discussion covered the significance of World Teachers’ Day, quality improvement in higher education, and teachers’ professional responsibilities and roles. The participating teachers shared their views and experiences on improving the education and research environment.

At the end of the programme, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Md Moktar Ali distributed gifts among the participating teachers. He extended his greetings to the teachers on World Teachers’ Day and praised their contributions to the university’s progress in education and research.
