Army IBA Hosts "Real World Accounting" Practical Session

Savar, Thursday (24 September): Bridging academic accounting principles with cloud-based ERP systems, automated ledger architectures, and fintech software tools, Army IBA, Savar Cantonment hosted a hands-on practical accounting session on September 22. Organized as part of the institute's Culture Day, the workshop titled "Financfy Presents Real World Accounting, From Classroom to Cash Book" was jointly conducted by Financfy—a sister concern of Vivasoft Ltd.—and the Business Information and Technology Club of Army IBA.
Brigadier General Syed Mohammad Shahed Rahman, Director of Army IBA, graced the session as the Chief Guest. Assistant Professor of CSE Afzal Hossain joined as the Special Guest alongside faculty members from the Department of Finance. Around 100 students, primarily final-year and upper-semester undergraduates, participated in the interactive workshop.
Welcoming the initiative, Assistant Professor Afzal Hossain commended the development of domestic software solutions, stating, "We are glad Bangladesh has such resources and companies who are working for their own country, making their own software for Bangladesh."
The session highlighted the operational transition from textbook accounting exercises to real-world financial management inside modern enterprises. Md. Tartibur Rashid, Head of Business Development at Financfy, emphasized the career impact of acquiring software skills, remarking, "Excel will take you to the interview board, knowing an accounting software will take you to the chair."
To sustain practical learning, Financfy announced that students majoring in Accounting and Finance will receive complimentary educational access to 'Financfy Pro' features. Managed via faculty coordination, the platform will allow students to execute real-time accounting assignments during their undergraduate studies.
The technical session was facilitated by Financfy Consultant Amit Debnath, Business Lead Abul Khair Molla, Head of Business Development Md. Tartibur Rashid, Head of Support Raju Ahamed Raj, SQA Engineer Tanha Tahity, Business Development Representatives Shahariear Ahmed and Md. Tanjilur Rahman, alongside Vivasoft Limited's Digital Marketing Supervisor Kazi Md. Abid and Senior Content Strategist Rasadul Islam Mozumder Tanzil.
