Exploring the operational paradigms of artificial intelligence, high-capacity digital connectivity, and open collaborative ecosystems, Huawei successfully concluded its premier global flagship event, 'Huawei CONNECT 2026', held in Shanghai from 17 to 19 September. A press statement issued by Huawei on Sunday, 20 September 2026, outlined the company’s strategic blueprint for an intelligent, productive, and inclusive future.

Staged under the central theme “Advancing the Agentic World,” the summit brought together industry executives, enterprise clients, software architects, and academic researchers. Discussions highlighted the expanding role of AI agents and intelligent systems in refining corporate decision-making, lifting cross-sector productivity, and unlocking structural economic opportunities. Huawei underlined that equitable AI benefits demand transparent governance and shared progress among governments, commercial enterprises, tech partners, and developers.

Delivering the keynote address, David Wang, Deputy Chairman of the Board and Rotating Chairman of Huawei, unveiled a suite of advanced AI computing and data infrastructure solutions engineered to satisfy intensive computational workloads.

The primary technological reveals included the Atlas 960E SuperPoD, Huawei’s next-generation scalable AI computing architecture; the enhanced TaiShan 950 SuperPoD, optimized to deliver robust parallel processing for cognitive enterprise workloads; and the OceanStor M900, an ultra-resilient data-storage platform built specifically for high-throughput AI model training and inference workflows. These additions establish resilient foundations for organizations handling expanding data volumes while accelerating practical AI adoption.

Wang stated that the global economy is stepping into an AI-defined era of deep structural transition. He emphasized that robust hardware foundations, open-source compatibility, and ecosystem synergies are non-negotiable prerequisites to commercialize frontier technologies across key verticals, including telecommunications, digital banking, industrial manufacturing, clean power, logistics, and education. The event concluded with technical tracks examining digital workforce upskilling and next-generation connectivity standards.
