Hybrid Habits, High-Speed Data: Banglalink Launches App-Based ‘Home Connectivity’ Bundle
Amid efforts to cope with the global energy crisis, the introduction of three days of online classes per week in educational institutions and the growing trend of ‘work from home’ among professionals have significantly increased the demand for reliable internet connectivity. In this context, the country’s leading digital operator Banglalink has launched the country’s first app-based data bundle, the ‘Home Connectivity’ pack.
On April 30, the operator announced that the package has been designed primarily for users dependent on video conferencing, taking into account the needs of online classes and remote working environments. In addition to allocating dedicated data for specific apps, the pack also includes data for general internet usage, enabling users to seamlessly conduct meetings, attend classes, and carry out other online activities simultaneously.
The 30-day validity pack has been priced at Tk 348, offering a total of 36GB of data. Of this, 30GB is specifically allocated for platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, and Google Classroom. This reduces the risk of running out of data during online classes or important meetings. Additionally, 6GB of data remains open for browsing, video streaming, and social media use.
Commenting on the package, Banglalink’s Chief Marketing Officer Kazi Mahbub Hasan said the company is continuously working to innovate services in response to evolving customer needs. According to him, the increasing reliance on online classes and remote work has placed additional pressure on many households, and the ‘Home Connectivity’ pack is designed to help ease that burden.
The pack is available for both prepaid and B2C postpaid customers. It can be purchased not only through retail outlets but also via bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay, and the MyBL App. Additionally, the pack can be activated by dialing 121348#.
