e-CAB Mourns the Passing of Khaleda Zia
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia passed away on Tuesday (30 December 2025) at 6:00 am while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka (Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji‘un).
Expressing deep sorrow at her demise, the E-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) conveyed heartfelt condolences and paid tribute to the late leader.
In a condolence message, Dr Saif Uddin Ahmed, Administrator of e-CAB and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, said:
“The passing of Begum Khaleda Zia, the first woman Prime Minister of Bangladesh, marks an irreparable loss for the nation. She was an uncompromising and steely champion of democracy. Her leadership, sacrifice, and struggle will remain etched in the hearts of the people. Her courage and steadfast leadership will continue to inspire future generations.”
On behalf of the e-CAB family, prayers were offered for the eternal peace of the departed soul, along with deep sympathy for the bereaved family.
