SpaceX Set to Soar: Starship’s 11th Test Flight Scheduled for Tuesday

SpaceX is gearing up for the 11th test flight of its spacecraft “Starship”, set to launch from its Starbase facility in Texas, USA, at 5:15 a.m. Bangladesh time on Tuesday, according to a report by Engadget.

The launch event will be streamed live on SpaceX’s official website and X (formerly Twitter), beginning 30 minutes before liftoff.

During its successful August test, Starship made history by carrying eight dummy Starlink satellites into space for the first time. A similar payload demonstration is planned for this mission. The flight will use a reused Super Heavy booster, equipped with 33 Raptor engines, 24 of which have flown previously.

This mission primarily aims to collect data for the next-generation Super Heavy booster, test the heatshield’s resilience under high stress, and practice orbital maneuvers required for controlled reentry and landing in future missions.

However, SpaceX has confirmed that this time it will not attempt to catch the booster with its “chopstick” arms. Instead, the booster will splash down in the Gulf of Mexico, while Starship will descend into the Indian Ocean.
