Technological Triumphs and Sirat Scholars Saluted in Scholarship Showcase

In today’s world, while scientific progress, technological development, and globalization have simplified human life, they have also intensified moral decay, family crises, social inequality, terrorism, and religious conflict, remarked religious advisor Dr. A F M Khalid Hossain.
He made the comments on Monday, September 22, during his keynote speech at the Sirat Olympiad awards ceremony, organized by Hasanah Foundation at the IDEB auditorium in Kakrail, Dhaka.
“In this context, studying the Seerah of the Prophet (S.) has become essential for humanity,” the religious advisor added.
Dr. Khalid Hossain also emphasized, “Religious conflict is one of the major issues of today’s world. The Prophet (S.) drafted the Medina Charter in Medina with Jews, Christians, and Muslims, ensuring religious freedom for all. His teachings form the true foundation of interfaith coexistence and tolerance.”
Following his speech, the advisor presented awards and cash prizes to the Sirat Olympiad winners.
The Olympiad, which saw participation from nearly 20,000 contestants, concluded after selection rounds, semifinals, and finals across three groups. From each group, ten finalists were chosen, totaling 30 ultimate winners. Prizes included an Umrah package for the first-place winners in each group, laptops for first runners-up, tablets for second runners-up, and cash awards of BDT 20,000 and 10,000 for fourth and fifth places, respectively. Additionally, sixth to tenth place winners received BDT 5,000 each.
The ceremony was presided over by Hasanah Foundation chairman Dr. Mizanur Rahman Azhari.
