ChatGPT Crash Causes Global Glitch

A massive outage struck OpenAI’s services—including ChatGPT, Sora, and Codex—early Wednesday, affecting users across Europe, North America, and Asia, according to Asia Net News.
Downdetector reported that the disruption began early in the morning and that approximately 88 percent of users were unable to access ChatGPT entirely. The remaining users also experienced significant difficulties with the API, Sora, and Codex platforms.
Users flooded social media with complaints of frozen chat screens, login loops, and verification errors. Others reported complete disconnection during sessions. Many developers and content creators have also been unable to access key services like Codex and Sora.
OpenAI acknowledged the issue on its official status page but has yet to identify the exact cause or provide an estimated timeline for full restoration.
In the meantime, users are being advised to avoid repeated login attempts, save ongoing work externally, and monitor the status page for updates.
