JUST Hosts Fifth GST ‘A’ Unit Admission Test Successfully

For the fifth consecutive time, Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST) has successfully hosted the undergraduate admission test for the ‘A’ Unit under the GST cluster system, alongside other participating universities.
A total of 5,851 candidates registered to take the ‘A’ Unit admission test at the JUST centre. Among them, 93.28 percent appeared for the exam, which was held on Friday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM for science group applicants. On the same day, the practical (drawing) examination for the Architecture program was conducted from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Vice-Chancellor of JUST, Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid, said, “The GST ‘A’ Unit admission test was conducted at the JUST centre in an extremely peaceful and orderly manner. There were no untoward incidents. The university administration made all necessary arrangements to ensure the comfort of the candidates and their guardians.” He also mentioned that various university clubs and organizations provided support to the candidates throughout the day.
The Vice-Chancellor extended sincere thanks to all JUST teachers, officers, staff members, and club representatives for their cooperation in ensuring the smooth conduct of the examination.
According to Professor Dr. Md. Sirajul Islam, Coordinator of the ‘A’ Unit at JUST, digital banners with roll numbers, centre, and building information were placed at various points across the campus for the convenience of candidates. Security sub-committee members, the JUST Journalists’ Association, BNCC, Rover Scouts, and other volunteers assisted at the entrance points of all exam venues.
He expressed gratitude to the university community for their collective effort in executing the exam successfully. Prior to the test, the university had made comprehensive preparations to ensure a seamless experience. Adequate security personnel were deployed to maintain order and uphold a proper testing environment.
Following the start of the exam, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid, accompanied by Treasurer Professor Dr. Hossain Al Mamun, visited several exam halls to oversee the proceedings. After the visit, the Vice-Chancellor also interacted with the guardians of the examinees.
