GST Admission Test Concludes at Gopalganj University of Science and Technology

The Gopalganj University of Science and Technology successfully conducted the final session of the 2024–25 undergraduate admission tests under the GST cluster system. The ‘A’ Unit examination, designated for science stream candidates, marked the conclusion of this year’s GST admission cycle involving 19 public universities.
Held on Friday (May 9) from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the science stream admission test at the university center saw a participation rate of 90.14 percent. Out of 4,415 applicants, 3,980 candidates attended the exam, while 435 were absent. One candidate was expelled for adopting unfair means during the test.
Additionally, a written examination for applicants to the Architecture program under the science stream was held from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM on the same day.
Before the commencement of the exam, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Hossain Uddin Shekhar and Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Sohel Hasan exchanged greetings with the guardians present on campus. They also visited multiple examination halls during the session.
Following the inspection, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Hossain Uddin Shekhar said, “With today’s science stream examination, the admission test cycle for the current academic year has concluded. No untoward incidents occurred during the exams.”
He extended his sincere appreciation to all involved for their cooperation in facilitating a smooth and orderly examination process.
It is worth noting that for the current academic year, a total of 237,787 applications were submitted across the three GST units. At the Gopalganj University center, 862 out of 897 candidates attended the Business Studies stream exam held on April 25, while 2,802 out of 2,950 participated in the Humanities stream exam on May 2.
