Ferrari is accepting cryptocurrency
Despite the many complaints about cryptocurrency, the demand and use of this digital currency continues to grow. Now luxury carmaker Ferrari has started accepting cryptocurrency for payments for sports utility vehicles (SUVs) in the US. News Reuters.
Ferrari says the alternative payment service has been launched in response to customer requests. Besides, business expansion plan has been taken in Europe.
Enrico Galliera, the company's senior official, claims that steps have been taken to use crypto to reduce the carbon footprint and increase reliance on renewable energy through the new software. He pledged to achieve the target of becoming carbon neutral by 2030.
Concerns about cryptocurrencies among big companies have not gone away. However, Ferrari agreed to use it as payment.
Ferrari will initially work with BitTop, a leading cryptocurrency payment system, for its US operations. The company will accept payments in Bitcoin, Ether and USDC. No additional fees or charges will be required while using cryptocurrency.
In addition, Ferrari will expand the cryptocurrency payment scheme in Europe and other regions where crypto is legal from next year.
