The complete edition of the acclaimed web series 'Pheu', titled 'Pheu Complete Saga', is set to release on the OTT platform Chorki on November 12. Built around the historical backdrop of the Marichjhapi massacre in West Bengal alongside local and international geopolitics, the platform officially announced the premiere date while unveiling its trailer. The new release merges the initial storyline with upcoming segments to form an integrated, standalone narrative.
Director Sukorno Shahed Dhiman clarified that the project is not merely a second season, but a seamless consolidation of the geopolitical conflict introduced in the first part with its concluding chapters. Set across the Southern coastal belt, the plot follows a Bangladeshi youth named Daniel searching for his father amidst violent clashes with foreign agents, while contrasting the struggle of a mysterious community leader named 'Marshal'.
Renowned actors Chanchal Chowdhury and Mostafizur Noor Imran lead the cast as 'Sunil' and 'Marshal', respectively. Expressing his thoughts, Mostafizur Noor Imran noted, "Marshal embodies the true spirit of a fighter. Viewers will finally experience the complete saga and its core thrill." Redoan Rony, Chief Executive Officer of Chorki, added that the authentic visual storytelling in the treacherous Sundarbans terrain will offer audiences a compelling glimpse into a historic struggle.
The series features an ensemble cast including Tareq Anam Khan, Tanvir Apurbo, Hossain Jibon, Tahmina Athoi, Rizvi Rizu, Bablu Bose, alongside over a hundred local artists from Khulna and Bagerhat. Co-written by Sukorno Shahed Dhiman and Romel Rahman with a screenplay by Dhiman and Siddique Ahmed, the series was shot over a span of one year across remote locations in Khulna, Batiaghata, Chalna, Mongla, and Satkhira.
