Underscoring advanced technological innovation, workforce upskilling, and applied artificial intelligence solutions, three Bangladeshi technology enterprises clinched top honors at the ASOCIO Digital and AI Awards 2026 in Jakarta. Nominated by the Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS), the entities were recognized for spearheading digital solutions, regional workforce development, and AI education across the Asia-Pacific region.

According to institutional sources, the laurels were conferred on Tuesday evening, October 6, 2026, during the Award Night banquet at Swissôtel Jakarta PIK Avenue. The ceremony formed a core segment of the three-day ASOCIO Digital & AI Summit 2026, held from October 5 to 7 by host partner Indonesian ICT Business Association (APTIKNAS).

ASOCIO Chairman Stan Singh-Jit of Malaysia and ASOCIO Permanent Honorary Chairman and Awards Committee Chair Abdullah H. Kafi presented the trophies to Rashed Kamal, Managing Director and CEO of The Databiz Software Limited; Md. Monir Hossain, CEO of Creative IT Institute; and Md. Shamim Hossain, Founder and Chief Instructor of SkillUpper.

Among the winners, The Databiz Software Limited secured the ‘ASOCIO Global Business Service Award’ for cross-border software integration, Creative IT Institute received the ‘ASOCIO Talent Development Award’ for engineering enterprise digital training pipelines, and SkillUpper bagged the ‘ASOCIO AI in Education Award’ for deploying machine learning architectures across adaptive educational curricula.

The gala was attended by a 15-member BCS delegation led by BCS President Mohammad Zahirul Islam, alongside Vice-President Md. Wahidul Hasan Dipu, Secretary General Muhammad Monirul Islam, Joint Secretary General Md. Ahsanul Islam Nawshad, Treasurer Abul Hasan, and Directors Md. Nazrul Islam Hazary and Md. Iqbal Hossain.

Highlighting the milestone, BCS President Mohammad Zahirul Islam stated that international recognition across Asia-Oceania validates the country's technological capabilities, engineering maturity, and specialized human resources, driving domestic enterprises to expand aggressively into global commercial markets.

Creative IT Institute CEO Monir Hossain noted that the honor marks a significant national milestone reflecting 18 years of mentoring youth with international-grade competencies. The Databiz Software Limited Founder and CEO Rashed Kamal stated that continuous adaptation to emerging technologies made this national achievement possible, deepening their organizational responsibilities. SkillUpper Founder Shamim Hossain affirmed that earning top honors amidst 27 participating nations serves as a powerful catalyst to expand AI upskilling and global employment pipelines for educated youth.

The 2026 edition distributed honors across 12 distinct categories. Additionally, the Association of Thai ICT Industry (ATCI) received the ASOCIO Special Recognition Award, APTIKNAS received the Extraordinary Member Association Award, and four Indonesian ministers—Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, Teuku Riefky Harsya, and Airlangga Hartarto—were conferred the ASOCIO Honorary Leadership Award 2026 for transformative public-sector stewardship.
