Riseup Labs, Space Camp Partner

Riseup Labs and Space Innovation Camp have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly advance technology-driven education. Under the partnership, Riseup Labs will serve as the technology partner for selected programmes, events and initiatives of Space Innovation Camp and provide technical support.

The partnership aims to create hands-on learning opportunities for children and young people interested in science, technology, robotics, space science and innovation. Space Innovation Camp places emphasis on science, technology, engineering, mathematics and computing education through its activities.

The programmes are designed to give students practical experience alongside theoretical knowledge. They also provide opportunities to develop problem-solving and creative thinking skills.

Space Innovation Camp’s initiatives include space camps, robotics activities, workshops and educational competitions. These programmes seek to connect students’ scientific concepts with practical applications.

Under the MoU, Riseup Labs will use its technical expertise and industry experience to support different programmes according to the needs of Space Innovation Camp. Students will have opportunities to learn about emerging technologies and use them to solve problems, conduct experiments and create new solutions.

Riseup Labs has long been involved in technology skills development, training, workshops and capacity-building programmes for young people, including game and app development and animation. In recent times, the organisation has also engaged young people in artificial intelligence and technology-based innovation.

The two organisations expect the partnership to create new opportunities to combine technology, education and creativity and help develop the next generation of innovators and problem solvers.
