Accelerating administrative automation and transparency across higher education governance, National University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A. S. M. Amanullah has announced that the university’s operational office workflows will transition to an entirely paperless ecosystem within the next three months. The administrative overhaul will combine the active expansion of the state D-Nothi (digital document) framework with the phased archival scanning of legacy records.
The announcement was made on Monday, 21 September 2026, during the certificate distribution ceremony of a specialized professional development workshop hosted at the University Senate Hall. Organized by the university's Human Resource Development and Integrity Department, the training program titled ‘Enhance Technical and Administrative Skills for National University Officials’ conferred certifications upon 183 administrative officers.
Addressing the gathering as chief guest, Prof. Dr. A. S. M. Amanullah stated, "National University is on track to operate fully paperless within the next three months. Master trainers specializing in D-Nothi modules must proactively mobilize and operationalize these systems across desks. Legacy documents will systematically be transitioned into institutional digital archives. Synchronizing administrative practices with modern computing tools will inherently accelerate bureaucratic dispatch and reinforce institutional accountability."
The session hosted Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Ali Jinnah and Treasurer Professor Dr. Md. Nazmul Hossain as special guests, who jointly distributed certificates to the graduating cohort.
Moderated by Acting College Inspector Nazim Uddin Ahmed, the event was attended by Acting Director of the HR Development and Integrity Department Muhammad Kamal Hasan, alongside academic deans, administrative department heads, and operational officials.
