First-Ever Flat Panel Fair Focuses on Interactive Innovation

For the first time, the BCS Computer City Management Committee is organizing a specialized fair dedicated to interactive IT products. The seven-day event, titled The City IT Interactive Flat Panel Fair, is being held at Bangladesh’s largest IT market, the IDB Bhaban in Agargaon, Dhaka.

Visitors to the fair are being introduced to the latest in interactive flat panel displays, featuring hands-on experiences with products from six internationally renowned brands available in Bangladesh. The event offers an opportunity to explore the technologies behind these panels and learn techniques and solutions for effective interactive use. Sales representatives are also participating in training workshops designed to enhance their understanding of the products.

Brands including ViewSonic, Optoma, Newline, LG, Synexa, and Boxlight are offering special discounts and gifts for both visitors and buyers. Among them, Bangladeshi brand Walton’s Synexa is offering discounts up to BDT 57,000 on select models. U.S.-based Boxlight, distributed locally by Smart Technologies, is offering an Akash DTH box as a gift with the purchase of a digital board.

Listed IT company Global Brand is showcasing various models from Newline and Optoma, while Excel Technologies is briefing visitors on the Optoma and Newline panels. Orion Computers is presenting the ViewSonic interactive panels.

On Monday, July 14, the fair was inaugurated in a modest ceremony by Fazlul Bari Liton (Vice President), the acting President of BCS Computer City Management Committee. Other committee members present included General Secretary Zahed Ali Bhuiyan, Joint Secretary Zahidul Alam, Publicity and Publication Secretary Mashiur Rahman Raju, members Monir Hossain Kakon and Rafiqul Islam, along with Smart Technologies Limited’s Channel Sales Director Mujahid Al Beruni Sujan.

Speaking about the event, Mashiur Rahman Raju said, “Every month, we host a fair at IDB. Last month it was a multi-product exhibition, but from this month onward, we are focusing on single-product fairs featuring multiple brands. Globally, interactive flat panels are replacing projectors in classrooms and corporate spaces. With their increasing use in education, business, and beyond, our goal is to provide comprehensive knowledge, introduce the latest technologies, and offer a touch-and-feel experience.”

The fair showcases interactive displays ranging in size from 55 inches to 120 inches, priced between BDT 150,000 and 850,000. To mark the event, four pillar-style bannered entry arches have been installed at the entrance of BCS Computer City.
