The National University has initiated a nationwide digital assessment to enlist qualified faculty members capable of conducting the newly integrated "Applied ICT" course across its affiliated honors colleges. The technical directives were officially issued in a circular published by the university on Thursday, September 3.

According to the official circular, ICT has been established as a mandatory curriculum component starting with the 2024–2025 academic session. To support instructional infrastructure, the administration is compiling verified records of faculty equipped to conduct lectures and practical sessions for the second-year undergraduate course. Principals and vice-principals have been directed to verify credentials and upload the profiles to the central digital depository by the forthcoming Thursday.

Specific pedagogical and technical eligibility criteria have been defined to uphold curriculum standards. Priority is accorded to permanently appointed teachers specializing in ICT, followed by permanent faculty instructing science disciplines across undergraduate honors or pass courses. For institutions lacking permanent science teachers, instructors from other disciplines may be designated, provided they hold formal certification from the College Education Development Project’s "CEDP-TOT (Advance-ICT)" training initiative.

To maintain administrative and technical verification, the university specified that no teacher profiles will be processed without institutional endorsement from the principal or vice-principal. Furthermore, nominated faculty members must be integrated into the digital network via an active Teachers Training Information System (TTIS) ID, with directives issued to generate missing system credentials promptly. This institutional alignment aims to standardize technical and computer education across tertiary colleges under the national academic umbrella.
