Telecom operator Grameenphone launched a nationwide campaign titled '1 Bangladesh 1 Internet' to highlight user empowerment through robust connectivity. The announcement was made through a press release on Thursday (August 20, 2026). The campaign underscores how students, digital creators, and entrepreneurs utilize seamless data infrastructure to learn, create, trade, and communicate across urban and rural landscapes.

Grameenphone's data network records nearly 352,000 hours of daily video streaming, equivalent to 40 consecutive years of playback. To support surging traffic volumes, the operator utilizes advanced Local Edge Caching technology, enabling rapid content delivery and low-latency streaming. The network is supported by over 24,000 active telecom towers nationwide.

Grameenphone Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Farha Naz Zaman stated that digital connectivity powers grassroots progress, from online classrooms in Sylhet and digital commerce in Rajshahi to video production in Dhaka.

She added that video streaming currently accounts for over 50 percent of total data usage on Grameenphone's network, representing dynamic avenues for digital education, livelihood creation, and entertainment. She reiterated Grameenphone's commitment to ensuring no community is left behind in the nation's digital transition.
