Over 700 plazas offer free treatments alongside a blood donation drive for thalassemia patients
Walton Plaza Organizes Day-Long Free Medical Camps Nationwide, Launches Hotline
Electronics retailer Walton Plaza has successfully organized a countrywide free medical camp across 700 outlets and launched a dedicated health helpline for its clients.
The country's leading electronics retailer, Walton Plaza, organized a day-long free medical camp across Bangladesh to provide essential healthcare support to general citizens.
On Wednesday (June 24), the program was simultaneously executed across more than 700 Walton Plaza outlets nationwide, offering free medical consultations, prescriptions, and basic medicines to buyers and the general public.
S M Mahbubul Alam, Managing Partner of Walton Plaza, officially inaugurated the central campaign at the Mirpur Mazar Road outlet in Dhaka. During the event, a dedicated health hotline number (09606-990029) was introduced under the "Happiness and Health Care" project to provide free teleconsultation services to customers. A voluntary blood donation drive was also conducted in partnership with the Bangladesh Thalassemia Foundation.
Speaking at the inauguration, Managing Partner S M Mahbubul Alam remarked that the medical camp reflects the brand's profound corporate responsibility and appreciation for its customers. Walton Plaza Managing Director Mohammad Rayhan emphasized that the company aims to foster socio-economic welfare rather than focusing solely on commercial retail operations. He noted that Walton Plaza is the world's only retail company operating a 'Hire-Purchase Buyer and Family Protection Policy'.
Under this unique scheme, if a buyer passes away while installments are active, the family receives financial aid between BDT 50,000 to BDT 300,000, and BDT 25,000 to BDT 150,000 for a family member's demise.
Walton Hi-Tech Deputy Managing Director Mofizur Rahman and Chief Marketing Officer Joneb Ahmed were also present at the launch.
