CUET Calendar Confirmed: Freshers’ Orientation July 2, Classes Begin July 5
The orientation for first-year undergraduate students at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology will be held on Thursday, July 2, while classes are scheduled to begin from Sunday, July 5. The decision was taken at the 164th meeting of the university’s Academic Council on Wednesday (May 6).
The meeting, held at the Academic Council room of CUET, was chaired by the Chairman of the Academic Council and Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiya. Both internal and external members of the Academic Council participated in the session. Professor Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Humayun Kabir, Registrar (in additional charge) of the university, served as the Member Secretary. Various academic matters were discussed, and several decisions were adopted.
At the beginning of the meeting, newly appointed Academic Council members were welcomed with flower bouquet by Syndicate Chairman Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiya. The new members include Associate Professor Sajeeb Pal of the Department of Architecture, Associate Professor Dr. Md. Shamsul Arefin of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Associate Professor Dr. Mostafizur Rahman of the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
