AION EV Launch Electrifies Dhaka Motor Show 2026 with GAC’s Green Drive Push

DHS Motors Limited has added a new dimension to the growing interest in electric vehicles at the 19th Dhaka Motor Show 2026 in the capital. The official distributor of GAC Motors in Bangladesh unveiled its electric vehicle brand AION for the first time at this year’s event.

At the exhibition, two new models under the AION brand—AION Y and AION V—were showcased to visitors. The models drew significant attention due to their feature-rich design, spacious interiors, and long driving range capabilities. AION Y can travel approximately 430 kilometers on a single charge, while AION V can cover around 485 kilometers.

Special introductory prices were also announced for both models during the motor show. AION Y has been priced at 50 lakh taka, while AION V is available at 62 lakh taka.

Alongside AION, several other popular GAC models were also displayed on the same platform, including EMKOO, EMZOOM, and E9. The luxury multi-purpose vehicle E9, launched at last year’s exhibition, continued to attract attention for its comfort and premium features. Meanwhile, EMKOO and EMZOOM drew interest from young buyers due to their modern design, strong performance, and advanced interior features.

Special pricing offers were also announced for these models during the exhibition. EMZOOM is available at 40 lakh taka, EMKOO at 45 lakh taka, and E9 is priced at 1 crore 16 lakh 50 thousand taka.

Stakeholders believe that the official launch of the AION brand will further accelerate electrification in Bangladesh’s automobile sector. They also noted that the introduction of environmentally friendly technology will play an important role in developing a sustainable transportation system in the country.
