Tech consultant Saikat appointed APS to info state minister
Mohiuddin Ahmed, a prominent technology consultant and journalist, has been appointed as the Assistant Private Secretary (APS) to Yasir Khan Chowdhury, the State Minister for Information and Broadcasting.
Mohiuddin Ahmed, widely known as Saikat, hails from Chandpur and has a long-standing career in online journalism and technical consultancy.
The appointment was formalized through a notification issued on Sunday, March 1, signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Md. Tanvir Hasan Ruman, by order of the President. The recruitment was made based on the intent and preference of State Minister Yasir Khan Chowdhury.
According to the gazette, the appointment will remain effective as long as the State Minister holds his office or expresses his desire to keep Mohiuddin Ahmed in the position. He has been appointed under the 9th grade of the national pay scale.
The notification clarified that Saikat, will remain in the post as long as the state minister holds office or expresses his intent to retain him. Hailing from Matlab South in Chandpur, Mohiuddin Ahmed is the founder of the agriculture-based e-commerce site AgroBangla.com. He also holds leadership positions in several professional organisations, including the National ICT Forum and the Daffodil International University Alumni Association.
