To maintain peace and order in the area and ensure the safety of the general public, Md. Aminul Haque has declared a “zero tolerance” policy against extortion and criminal activities.

In his own electoral constituency of Pallabi and Rupnagar in the capital city, he has also launched a special hotline to reduce public hardship and facilitate direct complaint reporting. The minister stated that in Dhaka-16 (Pallabi and Rupnagar), there will be zero tolerance for extortion, terrorism, or any other irregularities.

According to the ministry, anyone involved in extortion or any form of criminal activity in Pallabi or Rupnagar will not be spared. Legal action will be taken against offenders regardless of their identity.

Additionally, the special hotline number 01552-161616 has been introduced, allowing residents of the area to report directly if they fall victim to extortion or other irregularities.

Local residents have welcomed the minister’s initiative, noting that the opportunity to report complaints directly is expected to significantly reduce criminal activity in the area.
