Govt Opens Election Control Room for Complaint Coordination
The government has established a control room to coordinate with field-level administration and resolve complaints in connection with the 13th National Parliamentary Election and “Referendum 2026.” The information was disclosed in an office order issued on Wednesday (February 11) by the Administration-1 Branch of the Ministry of Public Administration. According to the notice, the control room will operate from Room No. 1802 of Building No. 1 of the ministry.
The office order stated that a hotline number (+8802226641118) has been launched to facilitate communication with the control room. The initiative has been taken to verify any election-related complaints and information received from field administration and to take necessary measures accordingly.
The notice further mentioned that officials will perform duties in two shifts daily from 9:00am to 8:00pm, from February 10 to February 14. It added that one Joint Secretary will be assigned each day to oversee coordination of the overall activities. In each shift, a Deputy Secretary or Senior Assistant Secretary will lead the team, supported by administrative officers and office assistants.
The office order also stated that the officials assigned to the control room will maintain constant communication with the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Election Commission, and the respective Returning Officers regarding complaints received from the field level.
