Apex Assurance: OPPO Advances Next-Level Quality
Chinese smartphone maker OPPO has shifted its focus beyond the traditional battle of cameras, RAM, and processors, placing new emphasis on safeguarding overall user experience. The company has announced the launch of its comprehensive technology suite, Apex Guard, designed to ensure next-level quality through protection against unexpected scenarios such as water exposure or accidental drops.
On Sunday, 16 November, OPPO revealed this new vision of “next-level quality” at its global headquarters and R&D hub at the Binhai Bay Campus. According to sources, the event reaffirmed the company’s commitment to quality at every stage of product development, from early-phase research to complete device construction.
Speaking on the occasion, OPPO Global Director of Manufacturing Grass Shan said, “Quality is the foundation of everything. Through relentless efforts, OPPO is committed to preserving every user’s uniqueness. Quality is not just a feature; it is the freedom of ‘Make Your Moment’.”
According to OPPO, Apex Guard ensures next-level quality that extends beyond the typical product lifecycle, offering a worry-free experience capable of withstanding the test of time. Through innovations such as customized spherical silicon-carbon materials and OPPO’s silicon-carbon battery, the system provides long-term protection by extending battery cell life by up to 400 additional cycles. Apex Guard also helps OPPO devices maintain a “like-new” performance for a significantly longer period.
To support this, OPPO has expanded advanced scale and synergy facilities at Binhai Bay. Equipped with cutting-edge equipment and centralized resources, the site strengthens OPPO’s commitment to quality. The presence of state-of-the-art laboratories—such as the Materials Lab, Intelligent Terminal Testing Lab, Power Consumption Intelligent Lab, and Communication Lab—enables the development of reliable hardware and smoother software, ensuring a richer user experience.
