Renowned musician Zephyr Rahman has revealed that he often writes lyrics and creates early-stage song compositions on his iPhone — whether sitting in a car, chatting with friends, or spending time alone. He shared this during the retail launch event of the iPhone Pro and Pro Max, held on Sunday, September 12, at BTI Landmark on Gulshan Avenue, Dhaka. Taking out his phone, Zephyr played his first recorded track on it — the popular song “Neye Jabe Ki” from the film Daagi.

Speaking at the event, Zephyr opened up about his creative process while showing his phone to stand-up comedian and host Rafsan Sabab, who has long been rumored to be romantically linked with him. Responding to one of Sabab’s questions, Zephyr said, “I started using phones with the iPhone. I compose my songs on it — from writing lyrics to melody and composition, everything happens on this phone. That’s why it’s full of voice notes. Mostly, I compose while sitting in traffic jams.”

At Gadget & Gear’s Apple Mono Store’s Gadget Studio, Zephyr also performed his composition directly from his phone and later sang his hit track “Jhumka” live, without accompaniment.

Earlier in the program, Gadget & Gear CEO Nure Alam Shimu officially introduced the retail launch of Apple’s latest iPhone models in Bangladesh. Business partners Jahangir Alam Satchu, Md. Ahsan Kabir Chowdhury, and Head of Marketing Irfanul Haque Khan were also present.

The organizers announced that the new iPhones are now available for purchase from Gadget & Gear with installment plans and exclusive discounts. Speaking with the event host, Irfanul Haque mentioned, “We are offering up to a 30 percent discount on the new phones.”
