Salesforce Strengthens Synergy with ‘MuleSoft Agent Fabric’
Salesforce has unveiled a new platform, MuleSoft Agent Fabric, designed to help organizations identify, manage, and monitor their AI agents from a single interface. The solution is already being utilized by several global enterprises, including Barco, Rush University System for Health, Wynn, and Encore Las Vegas.
The announcement came on Monday, September 6, as Salesforce highlighted the growing need for integrated AI agent management systems.
According to Salesforce, the use of AI agents is projected to grow by 327% over the next two years, with nearly 40% of enterprise applications expected to include agent integration within a year. In this context, MuleSoft Agent Fabric introduces four key features.
The platform includes a registry for storing reusable agents and tools, an intelligent broker to coordinate operations across different systems—connected via the Anypoint Platform (MCP) and customizable to the user’s preferred LLM—along with governance features ensuring compliance and communication security, and a visualizer that provides real-time insights into agent connectivity, decisions, and performance.
Salesforce claims the new solution extends its Agentforce platform by integrating not only native but also third-party agents, thereby enabling complex workflow automation. For instance, in mortgage application processing, Agentforce can coordinate multiple AI agents—collecting customer data, performing real-time credit checks via an external credit agent, ensuring secure document signing through a DocuSign IAM agent, and maintaining policy compliance through a governance agent.
Additionally, MuleSoft Agent Fabric supports intelligent supply chain management, enabling tasks such as delivery route optimization, SAP inventory updates, and quality control in real time. It can also streamline partner or employee onboarding by automating ID creation, system access, and information provisioning.
Andrew Comstock, Senior Vice President and General Manager of MuleSoft, explained, “Building an agent is not the strategic challenge—the real challenge is getting them all to work together. MuleSoft Agent Fabric gives organizations the ability to manage their agents in a unified and trusted way.”
Joris Depuydt, Head of Integration and AI at Barco, one of Salesforce’s major clients, added, “As AI agents become increasingly vital to our daily business operations, we cannot compromise on control and transparency. MuleSoft Agent Fabric gives us the security framework to use AI responsibly and safely—without slowing down innovation.”
